Lesson That I learned in Hard Way
It was the August 2004.
I was in my 4th year of pharmacy. we were waiting for our 3rd year's university exam's result. It was not clear when the university will announce the results. Every single day I had butterflies in my stomach.
One final Day the result was out, I failed !
.....Not in in the 3rd year, But i failed 3rd time in one subject. It was subject in 2nd year for which I appeared 3 times. ( It was my ATKT). The subject name was statistics and calculus. I never liked that subject. We had a ATKT system.
first time I failed that subject in second year final final exam( 4th semester).
Second time i failed that in October exam when i was in 3rd year ( 5th Semester).
Third timeI appeared in may exam along with my 3rd year exam (6th Semester).
And this time this subject hit me hard.
....................
I passed the 3rd year all clear. but since I did not clear second year, I could not go to 4th year (7th and 8th semester) . It shattered my dreams. I was not very serious student but I was not that bad that, I will have a year drop. I faced another big failure in my life. The only way out was to reappear again but till then I couldn't attend college. All my friends went to next year. I was seating home.
In short my 4 year pharmacy became 5 year course. I had tears in my eyes. I just ran to my flat. I wanted to be completely isolated. Now was the time when I became really worried about my future.
What will happen next?
what my parents will think?
what my friends will think?
what my teachers will think?
Will I get a Job Ever?
in-spite of these questions, I geared up, fought back !
With the help of my teachers, friends I could pass it next attempt. With a year Gap i was back in college.
I completed my Pharmacy with my one year juniors batch. Passed in 2005 all clear ( with 58%)
Then started working as pharmaceutical representative for few months.
Went to United Kingdom ( Liverpool John Moores University, Liverpool) for my MBA. It was Golden Days of my life. Worked with renowned companies.
Came back to India.
I found and Build my own passion. Now, Here I am focusing on my growth. Helping my students and clients to grow. I am never looking back now. Big Lesson Learned in my life by this failure;
1. No failure is ultimate failure.
2. No failure can define you as a failure throughout your life.
3. Your Academic susses is not the ultimate paramater for you life success.
4. You must have Great Friends and Mentors in your life. I really wanted to be opened up for special reason today. I see many students and people quitting with just one failure. No failure should stop you. If you also have faced similar kind of failure then I invite you to go ahead, and share that story with me here. Come out of that guilt. You can always develop your skills and really reach wherever you want in you life. So don't stop and go ahead ! Share your failures. If you are in your graduate and post graduate study and if you want to be in a community where you can learn to overcome failure , then I invite you to my Facebok VIP PRIVATE group called 'Career Builder's Hub". If you wish to become member of that group then please message me in messenger and I would send you the invite link. Cheers ! To our Success!
